Diddy trail

This podcast series regarding Sean Combs was so very informative and insightful. I hope through the efforts of Laura's subscribers and followers, that this content reaches many many people (women AND men). This series shone a light on his abhorrent behavior.

While the outcome of the Sean Combs’ verdict was so very disturbing and disappointing it is my hope that the judge will consider all of his previous violence and bad acts and give him a very lengthy sentence. He needs to be off the streets and a long prison sentence away from his kids might help to deter his sons (if it is not too late) from becoming like him. One of his sons is already facing allegations of sexual assault so it appears the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Several years ago my middle daughter was invited by her friend to attend a party that one of Sean Comb’s sons was hosting (I won't name which one). During that event both my daughter and her friend had their drinks spiked by him. Thank God one of the catering staff had the presence of mind to alert my daughter of what they witnessed. My daughter did not ingest the drink which allowed her to get her friend (who was getting very disoriented) out of the situation. This really shocked my daughter as she could not believe he would do such a thing, especially in front of other attendees. This just goes to show how folks like him and his dad think that their celebrity status somehow make them above the law. That their money and power allow them to do and take whatever they want and it's made worse because many of the people they surround themselves with are complicit or even condone this type of behavior. It is sickening.

As a mother of 3 adult daughters, (1 who was in an abusive relationships and subsequently stalked for 2 years) in listening to and watching Laura talk about coercive control and domestic violence I have been able to really understand this more deeply and as such I’ve had the confidence to have more informative conversations with my daughters and my friends about this behavior and how to spot and stop it.

Laura is truly making a difference in educating and helping women by raising awareness about domestic violence and coercive control. Thank you Laura!
