Nothing changes!

Over 35 years ago I was a victim of awful domestic violence and until my solicitor had a very firm talk to the police at my nearest station, which was Walton on Thames, they treated me like I was a hysterical stupid woman, even when I had been to court and had power of arrest on my injunction.
My daughter was a victim 8 years ago and no, a different area but police again were useless, it ended with the domestic violence officer saying to her when she said she didn’t want to face her ex in court “oh well that’s it then but it’s not like you’ve been hurt physically or mentally is it” and they had photographic evidence. Jezz I wanted to hit him because of course the ex partner wasn’t taken to court or anything.
My point is it is now 2026 and if anything issues are worse now.
