A enormous sense of relief that someone is on the look out.

Listening to the podcast I finally felt seen and heard after so many years of abuse.
Your understanding of psychopaths is a massive support and I feel hope when I hear you advocating for victims who are viewed as crazy because their abuser (husband in my case) has charmed nearly everyone into believing that he is perfect.

It’s a relief to know that not everyone is tricked and that someone is on the lookout and onto the schemes of dark personalities. Even the professionals, therapists and the pediatrician, so many do not see through him and this is always a good reminder to me to forgive myself for all that has happened. So much has happened. So much heartbreak and destruction and suffering for my children and myself. I am not without responsibility; I ignored the many red flags and my gut. I was under his spell and manipulation to the point that I was relying on him for reality and it has cost me and my children a lifetime of pain that can never be taken back or repaired.

I live in the West Indies on the island of Trinidad. After listening to you I felt a sense of hope that there are people out there with expertise and experience who are not easily tricked that I could help me understand and advise me.
