WE WON BUT….we found out that rather than 12 months, Babur Raja will be re-assessed in SIX months, May 2026. That’s not long enough and it’s not justice. We are again campaigning to stop this. Domestic abusers and stalkers must be excluded from early transfer to Cat D open prison. These offenders must only be considered 12 months before they are eligible for release. Agree?
✅ WRITE to David Lammy, UK Deputy Prime Minister and Secretary of State for Justice and ask that he:
1. STOPS Babur Raja’s early transfer to Cat D open prison and include that May is only six months reprieve which is not long enough;
2. EXCLUDES domestic abusers and stalkers from early transfer to Cat D prison.
