I learn so much from this show
We have so many interactions with people and sometimes get the wrong end of the stick. People act so much from their subconscious mind. I feel so comfortable trusting my gut after this show and listening to real crime profile. It is almost like my subconscious mind is the only thing that hears and feels the cues from others and sends the signals directly to my stomach. It’s so validating to hear that this isn’t something to ignore and is actually the highest form of intelligence we have. Thank you Laura.

Of all the content I follow, this podcast has become the thing I am most excited for each week. As a survivor of domestic abuse and coercive control, I am so grateful that Laura is educating the world on how damaging these behaviors are, and what they actually look like to those outside of the situation. I have hope that someday our criminal and judicial systems will finally understand and hold these perpetrators accountable. Your Gabby Petito episodes, especially, have been incredible and so important. I see so many uneducated comments online about how the Moab police did the best they could, and I'm grateful you're out there explaining all the signs of coercive control and abuse that they missed. Thank you, Laura, for this immensely vital and valuable work you are doing! I can't wait to hear your talk at the upcoming International Coercive Control Conference!

As a survivor of domestic abuse myself, I know I can always count on Dr Laura Richards to get it right! Even when the media sensationalizes the abuser and demonizes the victim, you can count on Laura to advocate, empathize and educate.

Murder in Slow Motion
Laura has an amazing amount of specific knowledge and skill in recognizing and explaining the dangerous characteristics of coercive control. The Gabby Petito series is so wrenching but also a very clear scenario of what Laura calls a murder in slow The episode on 8/31/2022 taking a very close listen to the officers as they totally missed every opportunity to recognize what a dangerous situation Gabby was incredibly “angry making” - to use Laura’s turn of words - The work Laura is doing is vital to educating citizens and peace officers of the signs of coercive control - they are indeed in plain sight - I love love love Crime Analyst

This is hard work

I adore listening to your podcast - all the information I learn and also just your passion in general about women’s rights - you really are an inspiration. Respect
I have so much respect for Laura Richards and her work. She is intelligent, compassionate, and insightful. She genuinely cares for crime victims & wants to educate people in order to increase their understanding of the causes of these crimes and the real issues that cause abuse and coercive control to occur and continue. She’s a great teacher and I especially appreciate it when she ‘breaks down’ what peoples words and behaviors really mean. In my opinion, the best true crime podcast available. Laura Richards isn’t interested in sensationalizing or trying to be humorous or entertaining, but in educating and helping people. Thank you Laura and keep up the great work. Well done!

It’s all about adequate but so necessary training of law enforcement!
With so many women dying at the hands of partners and husbands daily in the U.S., this kind of training along with building awareness can save lives and costs associated with these crimes!
Laura Richards has the credibility! She also uses her intuition and experience. She should write a manual or a book on this topic for the general public — especially for women! She has gained much wisdom!

Best crime podcast
If you want to listen to true crime stories to learn this is the podcast. Laura shares so much of her knowledge and dissect cases in a way that is very original for a true crime podcast. She speaks her mind and puts nothing in between and that’s refreshing! She also shows so much respect to the victims which is very important. Thank you Laura for sharing your knowledge!
