Jazmine was 14 years old. She gave evidence at a five and a half week trial. The boys were found guilty of 17 s*xual offences, including 10 r@pes. Judge Rowland said ‘None of you need go to prison today’ and he did not want to criminalize the boys, unnecessarily.

In this urgent and emotional episode, Laura sits down with Jazmine's parents — speaking publicly for the first time in a long form interview — to discuss the trial, the Court of Appeal ruling, what it meant for their family, and why the fight for genuine judicial accountability is far from over.

In her own words, Jazmine wrote: "I feel like I'm carrying what happened to me every day. I wake up with it. I go to school with it. I go to sleep with it. It's always there."

Together, Laura and Jazmine's parents discuss:

- How Judge Rowland’s sentencing remarks reduced Jazmine's trauma to a single line
- Jazmine described the original sentence as feeling like she was hit by a rock in the face
- Why the Court of Appeal ruling, while a step in the right direction, still falls short of justice
- The problem with concurrent rather than consecutive sentences
- Why boys who commit adult crimes must face adult consequences — and why the proposed age of culpability changes would make things worse
- The call for specialist judicial training on s*xual violence cases
- Why Lady Chief Justice Baroness Carr must now act — and what Jazmine's parents would say to her directly
- The launch of their foundation, Stronger Than Silence, supporting survivors and their families through grants, therapy and education

Faces have been blurred to protect the victim and her family’s anonymity.

More than 303, 000 people signed the petition. Now Jazmine's family is turning that momentum into lasting change.
